This may be going backwards a bit since everyone has been talking about the M12.

What is the difference in functions between the M11x and the M11? Other than the difference between FHSS-3 vs. FHSS-2 are there any additional features the M11x has over the M11?

I remember hearing that the early M11x still has the M11 screen showing M11 and not M11x.

Not too sure on all the differences. The screen is pretty much the same yes. The x has a custom menu. I don't think the m11 has that. Obviously the m11 requires a module. So you can choose airtronics, spektrum, or airtronics fm. The x is built in for fhss-2 and fhss-3 airtronics recievers only. With an fhss-3 you have that 4ms latency. I don't think fhss-2 receiver's have that 4ms. Some fhss-3 receivers have ssr. I could be wrong so Someone more intelligent than I can comment on that. I just got an mt-4 also, and I would suggest getting one of those instead. Unless you really want the m11 feel. It's all up to you.

I read that alot have trouble understanding the m11x manual. I have no troubles with it. I do have to look at it from time to time. Too much stuff to try and remember in this hobby.

You obviously haven't read it very thoroughly - it's an abslute nightmare to try and understand or figure out what Sanwa is attempting to say. Contradictions all over the place and ambiguities abound. Definitely one of the worst instruction manuals I've come across in terms of actually explaining what specific functions do and how best to figure out where to set them.

Most of the stuff I had little to no clue what they where trying explain. That's why I plugged everything in, set my truck on stands and started pushing buttons. I maxed out setting to see what affect they had on steering/throttle.

Worked like a charm. I am very fluent with my radio now.

Now that I understand settings, reading and understanding the manual is a lot easier.

Wow!!!!! What a coincidence. I just did this yesterday.

I run lipo and a straight plug. No switch. I was talking to a neighbor and wasn't paying attention. I noticed my transponders light wasn't on and then I noticed it smoking. I hurried to unplug the battery and the wired burned me. It completely destroyed the battery to receiver wire but only after the Dean connector.

I though for sure my receiver was done. I soldered another wire and went on to drive my truck. I ran two consecutive tanks without a single glitch.

I knew that would happen one day. It was connected backwards for about 10 sec. Pull your receiver cover off and check your wiring. You should be ok.

For the most part, that's what I did. It's pretty obvious that a non fluently English speaking person has wrote that manual. You never conversated with someone like that? They're hard to understand, but you can get the picture. The manual is not that bad.

I have no problems with my M11 manual. Did they change the manual for the M11x? If so, it could have something to do with Airtronics belonging to Sanwa instead of the original owners.

After how long did the battery start to puff? What Amp rate do you usually use for charging?

Only after a few months... My son and I own 4 of them, so we always have one charged as a back-up... Charged them at 2.3 since they are a 2300Mah...
