Default Mamba Max programing problem...

What's up everyone I've had my Mamba Max system for about a year and a couple months its been the best BUT somedays its been crap....

When I first bought it and connected it to the computer it didn't wana detect that my usb was in the esc. It something like "invalid conrollor" and the red lights on the caslte link won't go green.

I've had this problem BEFORE and I fixed it with somthing called a """regristry?""" all I did was change a little setting and it my esc started blinking ready to get programed.

I have a ALL NEW computer and that was a little over a year ago and now I'm stupid looking at all the computer settings. Can someone tell me how to fix this? I know its nothing hard because it took me a minute back then.

P.s. I just got back in the hobby because I bought a kawasaki sportsbike. Now I wana RC!!!!

(excuse my poor grammar)

Any new computer will auto detect a USB device. I suggest installing the software via the cd FIRST then plugging in the mamba. The comuter doesn't know what the device is if you connect it before installing the mamba program.

I hope you're not on Vista. If you are, I hope you have another PC/lappy with XP. I had the same issues with Vista home premium on my new laptop, but just do all my tuning from my XP pc, because the drivers that supposedly work for vista.... don't.

Fortunately, I don't think Castle has any other choice than to start writing the software for Vista, because XP is no longer sold (although tons of people still run it).

I can't help but wonder -- do any 64-bit system users have any MM problems?

I'm using vista ultimate 32-bit without a problem. Mamba system works flawlessly.

Form Castle:

Castle Link will work on almost any PC running Windows 98 SE through Vista (32 bit version only). It will not run on Windows 95 or earlier.

Castle Link will function with Vista as long as you have the 32 bit version. Currently there are no drivers available for the 64 bit version. With Vista you need to install the software a little differently than with other versions of Windows. Go to the downloads page on our website, and click on "Download Now". On the next page that pops up, click "I have read and understand this information, download now", and when you get the pop-up window asking whether you'd like to "RUN" or "SAVE", choose "SAVE". Save the installation file to your desktop. Once the download is complete go to the desktop, right click on the installation file, and choose "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR". The software should install properly after that.
