Default brushless help, problem with top speed

Ok i have the VXL esc and im running the novak 4.5R motor with it. It runs awesome until you get to about 2/3s speed and then it starts to like....rev? it jsut sounds mmMMMmmMMmmmMMM, And so when that happans i figured out if i let off the gas real quick then giv it full it works normal but when you go back down to slow speed then speed up it does it again. Then you give off gas and then give it agian real quick and it works good. I bought lipo and threw a maxamps 6000mah 2s in it and it still does it.
Does anyone know the cause of this? please lmk thanks

Strange.. A couple things I can think of off the top of my head

- maybe the pinion gear isn't set tight enough? Maybe the high rpm's make it slip off the shaft so the shaft simply spins at super high-rpm's?

- maybe the slipper is too loose and it starts slipping at the high-rpm's?

- Maybe the motor has gone bad? I had a problem very similar to that before.. but in a crappy brushed motor. I don't know if the problems relate or not, but it's a thought.

Well with the sensor wire in or out doesnt make a change still does it. You think send it in as a factory defect?
