Default M11 and Lipo

Looking to start using a lipo in my M11. Looking for advice on a pack. I do have an ICE charger, I also have a GFX which I havent sent in for the lipo upgrade. Any advice would be appreciated.

I had the Losi 2400 mAh and it was great. One of the few with a balance tap. But if I were to but one today, the best one out right now is the Reedy/LRP VTEC 3000 mAh!

Thanks guys. My 2500 nimh just dont cut it. You would think they would hold a charge Has anyone tried using the ICE to charge Lipos? Would it be worth sending the GFX in for the upgrade or just buy a cheap lipo charger w/balancer?

Default ICE

I use an ICE to charge my Reedy 5000mah Pro lipo which I use in my touring car. No problems.

I also have a Checkpoint 1030 charger and an Imax B5 charger with balancer built in. The Imax charges in 1/2 the time but doesn't produce the same average voltage (when discharging the lipo) as when I charge with the ICE or Checkpoint (both of which take the same time and produce a similar average voltage out of the battery when discharging).

My gut feel is that the Imax balancer isn't doing a great job but I've just ordered a Hyperion LBA10 balancer to test that theory.

I'vebeen using my Ice to charge lipos with a DualSky balancer. Has not caused any probs, setup is easy and uses the proper CV/CC protocol. I wanted a second charger and bought a Hyp 0610iNet using that now only because it charges and balances at the same time. Still using Ice when I have a lot of batts to charge.

I use a 3300mah Protek lipo in my Tx, but thats for a 3PK.
