Default NEED HELP WITH futaba bls451

I just bought a futaba bls 451. Which is shposed to be a brand new brushless servo. On the back of the box it says in black for ni-cd use only. How can this be? does this mean I cant use this with my nickel or lipo? please help

As I understand it that comment is directed mostly at the fly guys. Some of which use fairly small packs. It's a wicked servo, it does need current. If you are talking 1/10 scale electric I personally would be more concerned about the BEC. Just like any other high performance servo. Nitro be sure you have an adequate receiver pack. Whatever that is, I don't know.

I have 2 on 1/10 electric off roads, love them. Using lipos, with a Novak GTB and a SpeedPassion GT. So far so good.

People that race specs may well disagree, but in car the thing seems wicked fast. I have other servos with better specs, but these things seem faster to me. And it's just cool to have a totally brushless ride.

I have two myself and only use them with lipos. Theyre the fastest servos I've ever seen. Other people who have seen how responsive they are with the wheels off the ground say the same thing as well. I dont care if others have better specs, these are faster!

Putting them on the ground doesn't seem to slow 'em down much either. They are great at servo marshalling. Sitting in the pits it seems like you've got glitching problems they are so responsive. Plus they are a touch cheaper than the alternatives. And no, I'm not a traditional Futaba kind of guy, I used KO FETs for nearly 20 years.
