Default Airtronics M8

Is it practical to buy a slightly used M8? Being no less than 8 year old radio!

Thanks

seen people use it before, i have no clue how good it really is for responce because of its age, if its slightly used its your choice to buy it or not.

I have had mine since the dawn of RC and it still works great.
If possible check that condition of the steering wheel. if its gritty or 'sticks' at all, then maybe pass.

yeah if you're referring to m8 its more comfortable to hold than m11 that's for my opinion and that's why i got back to m8 again.....and another thing i dont want the m11 is that it has a lithium back-up battery which you have to replace it every 5 yrs i think and sent it back to service centers, unlike m8 none at all even for years counting....

same thing you can also upgrade it to spektrum tx module and rx like what i did right now in pro series

Like was said, definitely check the steering wheel if you can. M11's/M8's have a spring that snaps the wheel back to dead center and they do fail occasionally. I just had to send my M11 back to get that spring replaced and the turnaround time was over a month. But if you can find a nice backlit M8, buy it. They probably are more comfortable than the M11. The distance between the trigger and the wheel on the M11 is a little wider and some may not like that. They're quite heavy too. I use a neck strap to offset some of the weight.

yea m8 is good but i would disagree that it's better then the m11. If you have abigger hand you won't like the m8. Its very tight on the hand. The m11 is also a nicer radio overall.

M11>M8

They are so old.

I do like that compact feel the m8 has. But yeah--I don't like the "permanent" LCD on the screen of the m8. M11 is an amazing piece.

I love my M8. It is 5 years old and still works flawlessly. If anything ever happens to it, I will replace it with another M8. The M11 is a bit heavy for my tastes, although it is still a great radio. You can't go wrong with any Airtronics product.
