Default adding more load to ice discharger

has anybody tried to modify their ice charger by adding a plug in to increase the discharge capacity?i was thinking about adding a plug so that i could plug in my lightbulb discharger if i wanted to.i realize this is a little technical, and would definitly kill any warranty hopes.i am hoping it might be as easy as adding a couple wires to whatever resistor block they have inside, but i havent opened it up yet.
