Arrow Is the DX3 for me?

I am just about to buy the spectrum dx3 and i was wondering if anybody could tell me if there is a better radio out there for the same price? My LHS is charging $370 for the dx3 kit that has two receivers, a switch, the controller and i think two servos, but i am not sure about that last one i will have to double check.

I just bought one at amainhobbies.com for $249.00 U.S. I know they don't ship there and I don't know the exchange rate. I wouldn't think that there is that big of a difference try ebay

What is your LHS?

One of the main reason to purchase such things as transmitters from your LHS is perhaps not price, but service, backup support and warrantee.

As Favo said to you about the Caster shells, go to Auswide Hobbies and you will get all this support and more.

They dont do any of that. If you have a problem they will tell you to send it to Horizon...Go for the best deal you get and make sure you save the receipt...

$370 is way to high for a DX3. I purchased mine with the two receivers and two servo's from my LHS for $239.

Are you sure it wasn't a DX3R you were looking at?

How wrong you are. My LHS and freestyles do all of this and more. As we are not in the US we have to deal with importers which in this case is a company called O'reillys in South Australia. O'reillys offer all of these services. Support and service.

So don't buy a radio on price alone because if it has to go back to Horizon because its a grey import you will loose all of your savings and them some because of the postage costs involved.

By the way he's not talking USD.

even if it was a dx3r. horizon sells those for 320

the dx3.0 retails for 250 and comes with a 2nd reciever and servos.

somewhere your getting ripped off! both those prices were at horizon which is the main distributor for spektrum radios.

the DX3 is the old model that they dont even sell anymore. you might find a new one on ebay and chances are...its less than the DX3.0

and i didnt notice it said he lived in aus.. sorry..

even still 320 aud only equates to 353 us. and your still getting ripped off for a DX3. a DX3.0 i could see at that price including shipping to aus. but i think its stil high.
