Default Digital Servo glitch problem

OK, so I got a problem.

I blew both of my plastic servos that came with my Airtronics MX3-S, smashed the gears to all hell. They are 94102Z model number. My buddy has a metal digital servo that I am "borrowing". It is a JR Racing brand part number D78450, I think, the label is not very legible.

Anyway, I installed it and I am having problems. If I just turn on my radio then the car the steering will work but the throttle is a no go. If I turn the car off and unplug the servo and turn the car back on I get the throttle just fine. I can then plug in the servo and everything works but it is glitchy on acceleration.

I never had the glitch before before so I know it is not the carbon body or any other interference of my RC10T4 FT. Do Digital servos cause these issues or is there a brand conflict or what?

Any help would be appreciated.

OK so for anyone who cares I have found a potential solution.

I was told to take the servo apart and clean it with plastic safe cleaner and put it back together. I was told that it may be due to inference by all of the muck in the servo.

I will try it when I get out of work and let anybody who cares know.
