Default Proper Way ??

First Of all I'm a nub to electric cars my apoligy for asking so much.

Just a quick question, I hear all kinds off things about charging/discharging NiMH batteries. I hear that you should not discharge NiMH batteries.

Please advice on proper maintenance and charge discharge of NiMH batteries for example GP 3300 ???

Also if I need to discharge the batteries will Novak Smart Tray work well ?If my batteries are connected by deans connectors will they fit in the smart Novak Smart Tray ? or do they have to be single cells ?

Smart tray is not for dumping a pack but for equalizing it. You can dump a pack on it, but it will take forever. Discharge with either your charger or a disgharging device such as a Integy Indi Reactor. Then put the pack on the Smart Tray to equalize the cells. Smart tray will only work with side by side packs, so if you are using stick packs with the connector coming out the one end you can't use a smart tray at all.

Those will work. Make sure you double check the polarity before pushing the start button.

Your packs look like they are built right. You just have to put them on the tray with the plug on the bottom of the tray. If you look at the tray it has pics of battery bars, three on top and two on the bottom. That is how the pack has to be put on the tray or it will not work.
