Default AE/LRP Speedo issues...

How much difference in performance is there between the standard LRP Sphere and the Sphere Comp 07?
Reason I ask is... I recently purchased the Comp with a 6.5 to use in my converted CRT.5. At some point during one of my heats, the heat sink plate popped off and got dirt inside. I tired to clean it out with motor spray, and according to AE, I did more damage, even though the original issue was, at least in my eyes and to at least some extent agreed on by the AE rep I spoke to, a manufacturer "defect". Now, they did replace it, under warranty, at no charge to me. I am very greatful for this. However, they sent me a Standard Sphere. Should I fight and try to get an actual Sphere Comp from them? Or should I just be happy that my E.S.C was replaced at no charge to me? I think that answer really depends on the operating differences between the two. Thx for your input.

it's nice of them to have changed your lrp esc for you at no charge. but they might have just accidentally sent you the wrong one back. the best is to speak to the rap again to clarify. he might be more than happy to replace it back for you again.

anyway, yes, the normal sphere from memory is quite different in their specs

check out the specs

Cool

Yeah, I did look quickly on Tower's website to compare them before I posted this. I was hoping though, that folks with actual experience with both might reply and give an experience based comparo. I did call them this afternoon. Wouldn't ya know it, answering machine. So I left a msg with my #...hopefully they will actually call me back someday...soon. Thx for the links and taking the time to post
