Default CC BEC programming

When trying to program the CC BEC (using castlelink w/adapter) I'm unable to locate the BEC.

Power is going to the BEC (green light on) and back to the esc (all lights flashing- I have no switch, the power wires are soldered). Is the fact that I have no switch causing the problem?

Thanks for any info.

I'm 99% sure the ESC has to be switched off to use the USB.

Thanks- I'll need to separate the soldered wires, program the bec, then resolder.

It shouldn't matter if it's powering the ESC, but it may...
Make sure you have the LATEST version of the software. If you don't, it won't work.
Make sure to start the software, then plug in the USB to the PC, then the BEC to the CastleLink.
If that doesn't work, call their tech support line while it's all in front of you and they should be able to walk you through it.

Thanks. I've got the latest software and I think I've tried that order of connection. When I get some days off I'll try it again before I separate the soldered wires.

It's not that big of a deal, the switch just has to be off. Makes sense...at least to me. You wouldn't want it to run off while you're programming it.
