Lipo's

who has the best lipo out

Saint728 12-26-2007 06:42 PM

LiPo for what? Is it for a transmitter pack, receiver pack or battery pack for a 1/10 sedan on-road or off-road?

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

oops, to replace a 6 cell side x side

I run the Orions, love them, Had them for a few months and cells are still balanced. I know maxamps make good packs and are cheaper but you have to balance charge them.

If you want the safest go with the new Orion Carbon 3600mah.;)

I've had both the Orion 4800's and the Trakpower 4900's. I've liked both equally as much. I like the the Trakpower balancer for balancing both the orions and the trakpowers. The only thing I like better about the Trakpower is I like where the balance port is on the top of the Trakpower vs the bottom of the Orion.

Core 5000 Lipos are very good and distributed by Schumacher USA. There is very good support and feedback on that thread.

Does the Trakpower balancer come with the correct leads to balance the Orion and Trakpower LiPo's?

Very interested to know, I dont feel like making my own.

Lipo

You may want to check with the track where you run and see if they have any rules about Lipos. Ours limits it to Orion or Peak in the hard case. This is an insurance issue. Some tracks allow others but only if you use the charging bag for protection. Check before you buy.

I really like my Orion 3200.

I really like my Orion 3200.

The hard case lipo's are still as dangerous as any other lipo. If you damage one through charging or discharging it will still puff up and break the case.

cheap means unreliable. unreliable means boom boom! go for an orion or trakpower one, then theres less danger of having your house burned down by crap batteries.
