Is there a way to put a backlight in a normal m8?

I'd like to know that to. If yes, where do you get one?

Was just reading a forum on this earlier (am thinking about getting a M8 and wanted to get the non-backlit one because its cheaper and then backlight it myself).

Looks like it is possible, however, it is but it doesn't look like there is a solid way to do it.
