Im going to get a brushless ESC for my tc4 drift car and wanted one with a reverse profile. I was woundering if anyone had any comments on the 2 ESC's Ive narrowed it down to:
Novak xbr
Lrp A.I automatic pro reverse
Please let me kow if you have had/used either and your experience with them.

I currently use the XBR from Novak. The motor limit is only 8.5 though on the XBR. But this doesnt matter to me as that is more than enough motor for me. It works great. No complaints as of yet. I have seen issues with lrp escs and motors at my track. I have only seen 1 problem with a novak motor. So, I went with novak because of the name, reputation, and experience.
Now, if you want to go to hotter motors, ie 6.5 5.5 7.5 etc, you will have to get the GTB. The GTB has reverse profiles on it as well, but can handle hotter motors.
Good luck

I was wanting reverse and im pretty sure 8.5 will be enough on abs tires. Was already leaning toward the xbr system but was woundering if anyone had any good feedback on the lrp.
Also on the xbr in the reverse mode is it delayed?meaning the first time you pull the trigger forward it brakes, then you return it to neutral and pull the trigger forward again for reverse? or is it instant reverse?

are you drifting for competition or bashing ?
Have a look at the Mamba Max range every thing you need for competition or bashing, esc comes with lock out reverse , forward /brake and forward/brake/reverse and fully programmable via usb. (also they are ok with other brushless motors) You have 3 motors 4600kv/5600kv and 7700kv and they also handle brushed motors.
If you are looking for insane power the 4600 with 14.8 lipos(2packs of 7.4) is the way to go.
