Default GP3300 voltage problems

heyas,

i got a ladder pack 6 cell GP3300 pack.....when i got it i charged it (2nd hand about 20 cycles) and it charged to 3942mah...which i thought was pretty good...i discharged it 2 5.4v and then stuck about 800mah back in 4 storage...the other nite i tryd 2 charge it and the input voltage 2 the pack from my ICE was 6.8volts...after a few mins the charger complained about having a lower imput voltage than selected.....i can over-ride this by using a higher charger rate 5.5+amps.....and it wont charge properly....the pack stays relativly cool....until i cycle it a couple time (tryin 2 get voltage back up).

why is the pack refusing the voltage.?? I.R. is about 65m-ohm.....which isnt overally bad....

is there any way i can revive the pack...i tryd dischargin 2 0.1v and keeping there 4 a while then charging it 2 get voltage up...but nuffin.

any help would be greatly appreciated since i have racing this Saturday nite....i cant race competitivly with my practice packs (venomw 3600's )

thanxs

Hopefully a cell didn't go bad. Have you checked the battery bars? Are they still soldered on good. I've had bars break at the solder but the shoo-goo held so well that I couldn't tell the bar was off. The ICE would not charge the battery so I started to take it apart to replace the cell. That's when I found the broken bar.

cant chek atm air8, coz i am indiviadually discharging each cell.....i shall chek it once it finishes.....i remember there being a lil slack in the pack though....i can like flex the pac....so mayb 1 did cum off.......it charges..which means there is a connection happening...its gotta be sumthin else

coz it only takes about 6.7-6.9 volts at the start then eventually rises 2 about 7.3v.....sooo i think a cell is bad....but so far the first 3 are OK!!

i think the battery pack thinks its 5cells...not 6

found the culprit.....cell no.5....0volts...tried charging it.....3.0amps...input was 0.049 volts put 10mah in.....discharged it at 0.1 amps.....0 volts....dead....how can it just die like that....all of a sudden its dead...now i gotta find a GP3300 cell...since i cant put a 4200 in there.......and according 2 battery companies...u cant mix battery brands..

so mayb i have 2 remove the crappie cell and use it as a 5cell pack at the track!!

cheers for the help air8

That sucks. When my IB4200 batteries started dying off I didn't get that error. They would still charge but they sucked when I'd get on the track. So after like 3 laps I'd come back to the pits and discharge the battery on a tray. And after about two seconds a light would go out on one cell. So I called it dead and converted the pack to a 5 cell to use in mod buggy. It's fast as hell with 6 and feels really good with 5. Sorry to hear about that man.

i found it really weird coz the pack would only take in about 2400mah,.but it had awesome 'punch'. and the voltage was down..much more than my stik packs which charge higher....and that was only on 5 cells...ill take out the bad cell and use it as a 5cell at the track....

should be good...thanxs 4 the help
