Futaba 3pk question
I'm aquiring a 3pk with the spektrum module and receiver and would like to know if I can use digital servos with this setup?
Also how muchg better is the Futaba Fasst system over the spectrum and can I use digital servos with that setup as well? Thanks in advance. James |
Yes, you can use digital servos with the Spektrum systems. In fact it is better to use digital servos. The Futaba FAAST 2.4GHz is a little faster then the Spektrum. The price of the Futaba receivers are a little more then the Spektrum. The Spektrum receivers are smaller then the Futaba receivers especially the micro Spektrum receivers. You can use digital servos with any 2.4GHz systems.
Take Care, Cheers, Patrick |
Yes, as Patrick posted above it is actually better to run digital servos.
If your running a sedan I would try a Futaba BLS451. If your running 12th scale I would run a Futaba 9650. Good luck! |
Thanks guys,
I'll be putting them in my RC boats and 1/4 scale sprint cars I've always used the 3PJ PCM radios and decided to upgrade. The radio I'm getting already has the Spektrum system with it but I was just curious if it would had been a good move to get the Fasst and sell the spektrum? Thats why I asked which one was more dependable. James |

I also have a question about this radio...
How does the "Lap Counting/Timer" system work? Is the transponder info sent directly to radio after the car crosses the start/finish line? I think this is a great feature, but I haven't actually used it yet and I am curious as to how it all works. Thanks guys |

One day I hope... Regards, Joe Ling |
As far as I know, the lap counting/timer is just like a stop watch I like your idea about using it for fuel stops...I will definitely start doing that:-) |
