Default Failsafe Probelm. PLEASE HELP!

I bought a failsafe from the LHS the other day (Mode Engine ME100) and it doesn't want to work. What's happening is that when I connect it up, it stays on and keeps the servo in constant failsafe mode. I know it's not the battery hump pack because I fully charged it.

Last night we tried it on an AM receiver and another FM receiver, and it worked for both. We tested the voltage coming out of the receiver channel for the throttle servo and it showed 6.5V. The only thing I can think off is that my receiver isn't providing enough current (amps) to the failsafe. Without the failsafe, all servos work fine.

I'm using a JR RS310 receiver.

My mate has the exact receiver, the exact failsafe unit and the exact throttle servo and it works on his car.

I have the same receiver on another car and it has a failsafe (Venom) on it and it works fine.

What do you think it is? Is the failsafe faulty and i should have it changed or am I doing something wrong? Is it a RX problem?

Please help.
