I love my Hitec 5955TG for steering in my truggy. Last year I blew out 3 lesser servos. This servo is very fast and strong.

Wow! Page two! I expected a few responses and it looks like this is a topic of much discussion. Thanks for the great input!
Does anyone have any of these highly rated servos for sale? I need steering for a buggy and both for a truggy. (I know - there is a thread for this, but it is on topic...) Thanks, |
I have 4 Airtronics 358s for sale. I need to send 1 in for a new motor however as my throttle carb siezed because of incorrect angles. If you want, PM me and we can figure out a price, but I am thinking $50 each and $25 for the one that needs a motor replacement.

Oh and I am pretty sure that RcCompund.com has them for 89.95 each.

Ace R/C DS 1015 'enough said ;)

Where do you get these ace servos at? At the best price.
Thanks |
Hi,
One more vote for ACE1015 on steering. Still working on what works on throttle though. Killed an ACE1313 recently :( For the 1015, it's a good servo at a reasonable price. I've seen them at www.amainhobbies.com but not sure if their price is the best. Regards, Joe Ling |
Hey Guys, has anyone tried a Solar D772? They are around $20. I was considering pulling the tigger on one. I have used their little brothers (D770) on my 10th scale kits and they are fantastic.

They definitely offer some killer specs for a great price. And even if the first one is DOA, you still come out cheaper than most others after buying a replacement. |
I just recommend metal gears for rude use.

I've had one in an old 4x4 buggy, I think it was the ZX5-fs2. I mean it worked, but I wound up selling it along with the buggy lol. It did convince me to try the D770 in my 1/10 touring car because I couldn't justify cutting the mounting tabs off my expensive servos. And they share the servo spline with Sanwa servos which is something I like.
