This will definately be one of the best chargers out there. Very reasonably priced for an all in one charger, gonna be hard to beat...

Looks very nice. If I were in the market for a charger, that'd be my first choice.

Humm, i would still think the robitronic is superior. 20A discharge continuous and temp sensor as standard.

Pulse discharge maybe interesting for stock, when there is a lot left in batteries and you dont want to overheat the packs, but personally i know i wouldnt use it much

Looks good. Makes you wonder why Duratrax didn't go ahead and do this themselves.

What's the price going to look like. That's what will determine if its truely "bye bye ICE charger'

Its the price/performance that made the ICE so successful. This one has to have the right price if its going to knock the ICE off.

i was looking and apart from a second fan it is an ice which makes u wonder how hard would it be to re-program an ice with the check point specs??
just thought it might be simple and be sweet as in stead of buying a new charger just update the programing
any one have ideas on how to do this?

Probably not something you'd be able to do yourself. Not only that, but I'm sure there's some hardware differences in there to account for different discharge rates, etc...

Now.. someone please compare the PCB and chip, make upgrade kit for ICE, like people do for ICE backlite kit...

I guess we will see tons of ICE on eBay soon...

Now we're talking.
If its a simple copy from an EPROM, I'm pretty sure we can find someone to do it.

This seems to be a very smart release from Great Planes/Team CP. Very versatile, good upgrades from the ice charger, and a very trick look. Plenty of people probably never bought the ICE charger because of the Duratrax name.
We will be carrying this charger for sure!

The pulse discharge is there to lengthen the life of the batteries by not heating them up as much as you would with a constant 30 amp discharge. This will be good for stock/19 turn racers, so your packs will last longer, and for mod racers, it shouldnt take very long to discharge a pack by the end of a 5 min run.
