Tower has the R1 listed as $224.99 which pretty high. I hope someone has it cheaper. I would love to give it a try if it ever comes out
, but its only slightly smaller(on paper) then my Sphere. So spending that much for only a moderate space savings, would be tough.
But $194 would certainly be reasonable. Especially for the Tekin name and quality.

The prices originally posted are usually quite off from what the street price ends up being once a product is released so hold your horses. Even if it is correct it would still be worth it just for the size. The Tekin is much smaller then either of the systems you mention.

The R1 is comparable to a GTB or LRP without a heatsink and fan being added. It is rated to a 5 turn, but with a little airflow can handle more.
The R1 pro is comparable to units with heatsinks and fans added... without needing them. There are 48 of the best fets available in the R1 pro. That simply does not come cheap. With a little airflow we are running our 1/8 truggy and buggy with them.
What can I say? We are about being the best, not the most affordable. Leading edge technology, in a small package, packed with features never comes cheap. There will be plenty of affordable options available. We are not positioned or have any desire to compete directly with all the multilabeled import products that will be available soon.
