JR 9000T--

Anyone else out there having problems with this servo? I have fried one! The second one I have gone through 2 sets of gears. I am running in a Kyosho ST-R. And thought it could be me or my setup or whatever, but i am not a newb, i have ran the truck with a futaba 9451(a 129oz servo) for two race days and it works flawless. since then i have come to find out that one of my lhs has stopped carrying them because of people having multiple problems(which the manager is a JR sponsored driver). i know of at least 5 other people in the area that got rid of em because of either frying them or the plastic gear stripping. $35.00 a gear set gets expensive and annoying especially for 10 minutes of run time.
not bashing JR servos! cause i have a couple 8800T's and love em, i have a 8800S and love it, my 9000S is so far even great.
just wondering if anyone else out there has had problems, I called JR(HORIZON) and they of course were great on the phone, but found it hard to believe no one else having issues.
just want feedback, no bashing please.

I recently had a 9000S die on me and it didn't have a whole lot of use. I have it as my thottle servo with my EPA's set really low. I was driving around and all of the sudden it became "twitchy". When I brought the car in the servo was making a high pitch whine whenever I would try to use it.
I sent it in to Horrizon and they sent me a new one a week later along with the old. They didn't state what the problem was.

I had a problem with 2 of them. Honestly I put a 9000S for steering in my XX4 right out of the package and the endpoints were setup perfect. 2 minutes, gone. In the same application I put in a 358 airtronics and haven't broken a thing.

Heck I have both of my 8th scale setup with the 9000t and 9000s.
Set my endpoints like they are suppose to be and never forgot to turn off the switch when done playing.
Two things that smoke digitals servos.
Turn off your switch and set endpoints...
Not to put down the 359 & 360 are my two back ups...I love them but with my helios set on HSR the airtronics won't work.
Thats it...
If Airtronics put out the kind of torque the 9000T does I would jump on them.
But if you keep your receipt they will fix or replace it.

I was wondering, what is the difference between the 9000t and the 9100t?
I was wandering if it was just the case, if so could I put a 9100t case on my 9000t?
Thanks!
PS: I have the 9000t, 9100s, and 8711 servos and they absolutely ROCK!
Thank you JR for making some sweet servos! Worth EVERY penny!
