Default ORCA vs CAYOTE

Curious if anyone has used one of the new Cayote Stocki 17.5t motors, (or frankly any turn).
I’m trying to decide between this new motor vs an ORCA Blitreme 3 17.5t.

2 amain reviews on the stocki say that it seems really quick, but google AI says the ORCA has a better top speed, but not sure how much stock (pun intended) I should put in that tbh.
It is being paired with an ORCA WLEB blinky ESC.

Many thanks

Kris

I just received the Cayote 17.5 to run through the tests. I'm hoping to get the video out this weekend.

I had the ORCA Blitreme 3 13.5T outlaw before and the Stocki 13.5T and to me they are pretty comparable. I didnt like the orca much, it was overly expensive for a mediocre motor. Braking performance was pretty bad compared to HW Bandit OBL or V10 G4R ROAR and for some reason the motor is pretty loud full throttle down the straight. The stator and the casing separated after a few runs and I had to glue it back on. The solder job on the sensor board on the motor was pretty bad too. The ESC kept losing single with the motor no matter how many sensor wire I changed. It wasnt until I opened up the motor and inspected the sensor board to find several cold solder joints which I had to fix. Kind of fed up with the motor at that point considering how much I paid for it so I sold it.

The Stocki motor is pretty smooth out the box braking isnt as good as the HW but its manageable. Using the same settings from the HW motors it was just as fast but probably less punch. The motor ran pretty cool as well. TBH, the only reason bought the motor because it matched with my Cayote ESC and batteries.
