Amb coaxial clone
Good morning to the whole forum,
in our 1:10 indoor club, we use the AMB system to time our races. But the coaxial cable of the decoder has broken, and I have seen that a spare cable costs €500 or more, depending on the distance. Is it possible to make one? I've read that you can make an impedance adapter using a ferrite thyroid and copper wire, but I don't know how the coil is made, does anyone know how it can be done? Thank you very much in advance |
Maybe this topic will help you. It is not only about the system itself but also about loop antenna's etc.

The project is impressive, but it doesn't help me, the antenna is with amplifier, I'm looking for a way to make the original antenna of the AMB system. The track loop is not a problem, they are two cable lines joined by a resistance of 470ohm, this loop, is attached to the decoder with a coaxial cable, which has an impedance adapter made with a ferrite toroid... that is the cable I am looking for, I have tested with RF schemes of a 6:1 balum, but they have not worked for me.
thanks!! |
