Default M12 won’t bind?

Having a weird issue. Used an m12 for years. Got out of racing for a few years and picked up a used one when I started driving again. Worked perfect the first time I bound and ran it. Tried to bind it to my 1/10 and it wouldn’t work. Tired a few recievers and still same problem. Also unbound itself from my nitro buggy and won’t rebind.

Reciever slow flashes when you put it in bind mode but doesn’t flash fast like it’s supposed to one you hit enter on the radio. Have literally done it hundreds of times with no problems so I know I am doing it correctly. No weird led’s on radio. Found someone online who said they had the same problem and resolved it but didn’t say how. Want to get a flysky anyways but would rather get some use out of this first being I have a bunch of recievers.

let me know if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks.

It's a double blink on the Rx when it's binding. The fast flash means wi-fi configuration mode has been enabled.

Holding the boot button on the Rx for 10 seconds should reset it. I prefer the power it on with a battery 3 times. (pause for each for about a second: on-off-on-off-on)

Watch out if you enabled model match or configured a passphrase. Those can cause it to look like your bound, but then nothing happens when you try to use it.

How do you check to see if you have configured a passphrase? I don’t see that in any of the menu’s. And are you talking about DMS (direct model select) under system menu for model match? When you put rx in bind mode and tx in bind mode in the right modulation it just slow blinks and then no blink after about 10sec. No solid led on rx.

I think I read this thread wrong. I'm talking about the Radiomaster MT12. Sorry about that.

First of all u need to make sure you have the correct binding format that matches the receiver. For example, if you use a rx481, u should use FH4. If u use something older, u need to change that to FH3 or something.
