Default Futaba t6pv

https://www.redrc.net/2025/01/futaba-t6pv-transmitter/

From the article

Futaba announced their new T6PV Transmitter. The mid-level transmitter gets elements from their flagship T10PX such as being operable with T4PM+. With its full-colour display allowing for intuitive operation, the T6PV also supports the fastest system of ‘F-4G’ via R404SBS and R404SBS-E receivers. The key to ‘F-4G’ is it speeds up the cycle of transmitting information about steering, throttle, and other radio control operations to the receiver. The transmitter also supports ‘T-FHSS’, ‘S-FHSS’ and ‘MINI-Z’. *The R404SBS and R404SBS-E are receivers that support “F-4G”.

It looks like it's a nice iteration on the 4pm/ cut down version of the 10px.

The original press release said the end of the month(January) but I'm guessing that's been delayed. Rcmart said their was due at the end of February but who knows how accurate that's going to be.

Awesome looking little radio. My 4px is still treating me well and I have no reason to upgrade, but when the time comes I will seriously consider the 6pv as it looks like a better option than spending $800+ on a 10PX or switching brands (I'm a Futaba fan!).

I’m holding out in wait for the 6pv as well. I’m guessing they’ll be out of stock same week they’re in.

since the new Sanwa release the Used m17’s popping up everywhere have me tempted. Aren’t they prone to issues with the touch screen?

I’m way overdue for an upgrade from my dx5 lol

rc mart is going to be first to sell the 6?

Default What do you guys think about the ones available on Amazon?

If you search Futaba T6PV on Amazon one comes up for $356. It ships from Japan. Think it's legit? I can wait until one of the local tracks or shops have one, but I'd like one more sooner than later.

they’re legit but they don’t have the fcc label and Futaba USA won’t service them… at least that’s how I understand it

I wish they did a new entry level radio. The t3pv has a ridiculously outdated menu system without backlight. They could get a lot of customers in the just-above-RTR segment if they stepped into the 21st century with an update on that one.

Just got one, very pleased. Can't see any benefit in a 10PX at almost twice the price, nor can I see any reason to compromise with a 4PM either.

Basically you get all the ergonomic adjustments of the 10px (4pm has some adjustability but not as much), and a lovely full colour high resolution screen (much easier to see, much easier menu navigation). Lack of touchscreen for me is actually an advantage. Also compatible with the F-4G protocol so you can use tiny receivers. Plus Futaba quality.

I’ve been looking at getting one for my son. At first glance I assumed it had a touch screen but apparently it doesn’t. How is the user interface as far as menu navigation etc?

Good to hear, thank you

So my 3PV replacement list just grew, I've been looking at NB4+, MT5 or T4PM, or spend a bit more for M17 (currently £370-ish) or T6PV...

I agree about a touch screen not necessarily being an advantage

Thanks again

Got a good deal on a Sanwa MT-5, used it for the first time last night. I need to go back through the results from last time we used this layout, but I was a good few places higher up the order. I went from my usual mid to front of the "c" final to second in the "b".

This was despite practice and first quali being rather "meh", and I was actually thinking, "what a waste of money!"

So thank you, anyone that read my ramblings, and especially those who replied.
