I have both and been using both all summer. The pro performance unit makes a bigger difference. In not just the ir numbers but on the track the punch feel is significant

What is the cut-off voltage and is it adjustable?

I sent him an ESC one time for repair. On a Friday he messaged me and said it was good to go and no issues other than a receiver wire. Said it would ship on Monday. Then on Monday, he messaged me and said there was a problem wanted to to buy a new one at a "reduced" price. I did because it was cheaper than buying a different brand. So I never dealt with him again.

These esc’s don’t seem to have issues as I now have (6). It sounds like after speaking with you he wanted to double verify that there was no issue or that whatever issue you had was completely resolved. I can only speculate but he most likely saved you from a future DNF somewhere.
These esc’s and servos are hands down the best that I’ve ever ran to date. I try out nearly every brand (my son included) this company products and support is on another level for sure.
I look forward to trying their batteries and motors soon

PS in my experience most “repaired” Esc’s are only more prone for a failure later (regardless of brand)
and it sounds like he offered you a discount on a replacement when he didn’t even have to do that!

I wonder if Kenny is Pro Performance him self.... With all his (positive) posts he is basically promoting the brand. Kenny his account was made just a few months after Brian got suspended.

I suspect the same. And he didn't deny it with his posts after yours.

Not sure if is himself, but the owner previously had a small squad of guys on here that dropped these products into basically any thread for any servo, be it technical/support questions for a specific servo model or general purchase intentions. For that alone (plus the owner's own antics here), I would never even touch anything from this company with a ten foot pole, even if the products are maybe even genuinely good. I got zero trust in this company/owner. And I get extremely suspicious, when some other user tries to aggressively promote that brand again.
