Default Tape?

Hello,
I am looking for a very good and sticky, strong double sided tape. I had a rubbery double sided tape I got a while back at Amain. Hated it. Really hard to peel the paper backing off. Any thoughts.

Not sure if this is what you were using from Amain, but I have been using this for several years now ... I guess it may be a little trying to get the red plastic off, but once I figured to use a utility knife, lift the corner and fold over, then use the knife to hold the clear against what I am trying to secure as I peel the red plastic, it works pretty slick ...AND, it peels easily off the surface for removal, nice and clean ... I have also used just a dab of Shoo-Goo if I have time to let it sit overnight, that peels of clean as well ...

Scotch Extreme 30lb tape is pretty good - they were out last time I needed some, so I got the Gorilla Glue Heavy Duty 30lb tape - and I like that too - maybe more than the Scotch.
If you need stronger, they both have a 60lb version available.

Thank you. I have 2 rolls of that stuff. Hate it. I got it to use it finally after a struggle getting the red plastic film to come off. I used it on a $500.00 ESC. Every was clean real good. First run ESC broke loose. Never again

Thank you. I order the Gorilla Glue Heavy Duty 30lb tape. I was afraid to try the 60 lb tape. They claim it is permanent.

LOL - I built a car for a friend with the 30lb - he told me to never use that *-**/8+*-* again! I don't have any problem with the 30lb, but I think you are right to avoid the 60lb.

I’ve used 3m grey tape for at least two decades. Look for “outdoor” or “heavy duty”

I us Osg Quadmax clear silicone. Super sticky and dries clear when set. I don't use double side tape anymore.

3M 5952 is wicked good. You will notice when you remove it.
3M 5925 is the "same thing just thinner" but I don't think it adheres quite as stubbornly.
Both are part of the VHB family which is massive. Scope it out: https://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/...sign-guide.pdf

I just bought a small roll of the 30lb Gorilla Tape from Lowe's and I like it just fine.

Clean both surfaces and your hands. Cut it with clean sharp scissors. Use tweezers and an X-Acto to handle and position it. You wont have any troubles.

Until you go to remove it.

That foam tape is a horror to remove, it rips and leaves a mess behind.
