Default Which esc to get????

Im in between the big boy Hobbywing Pro G2 160A, or the new stock spec 100A. I dont run mod just stock 17.5/21.5. Just trying to get some opinions before I pull the trigger. Will be getting the G4 motor as well. 🏁🏁

for TC?

in TC 21.5 or UsGT the new Stock Spec may be just fine. The older version a bunch of people have used with good success but with these newest motors they are power hungry. Personally I would go with the Pro even though it’s overkill.

For 17.5 or 21.5 the Stock Spec works great, heck you can even run a 13.5 with that ESC. Plus it's a lot smaller and lighter than the G2. Oh, and lighter on the wallet.

The new 100A stock spec is also a G2.

Oops, my bad, I really like my older stock spec but the new G2 stock spec looks even better. You have to love polarity protection.

I love my hobbywing 160 amp g2s because it’s compatible with the futaba subs adapter so I can see all the esc info like motor temp, esc temp, cars battery % and much more just by looking down on my radio. Anyone know if the stock spec 100a g2 is compatible with the futaba sbus adapter?

Unsure, but since it looks like it supports live telemetry with the Bluetooth adaptor there's a good chance it supports the same telemetry protocol.

If you plan to use SBUS.2 to load the telemetry on your Futaba, don't make the mistake I did. You cannot program the SBUS.2 adapter using WiFi or OTA. It must be one of the LCD programmers. The exact words from the horse's mouth

Thank you for contacting HOBBYWING North America.

The SBus.2 Telemetry Adapter can only be programmed with one of the LCD Programmers.

It does not communicate with the Wifi Express or the OTA Adapter.

Let me know if you have any questions.
