Default Is it safe to add a larger MAH battery

I have the DEERC 200e. It uses 11.1v 1500mah battery. I found a 11.1v 2200mah. Is it safe to go that much larger. I do not want to damage the electronics.

Thanks, J.R.

as long as you keep 3cell 11.1v you're safe, more mah = more run time.

Yes; the MAH is effectively run time, number of cells and voltage are what would damage the electrics.

with longer run time always watch temperatures ok motor and ESC, and obviously beware when charging different capacity packs on same charger that you adjust charger each time

The charger is just the USB type, hence no adjustments. Thanks for your reply

Check the dimensions of the 2200mah battery. Larger capacity(more mah) are usually physically larger. Sometimes it is just the height of the battery, but it could have a different form factor. So check the dimensions of the battery you plan to purchase vs the space you have in the car for the battery.

Voltage is the only thing to worry about when over powering you electronics. Amp/MAH is best thought of as power supply. I know that's not what it really is, but it's the best way to look at it. The more mah you have, the longer the battery will hold it's charge with the same amp/mah draw.

Size of your fuel tank is another way to describe it.

It's slightly more nuanced than that. Longer run time means less chance for the motor to cool down, so there's a risk of overheating.
