Default FlySky FS-GT3B issues

Hello, all. I was hoping you might have an answer to my problem.
I'm using the Tx mentioned in the title, along w/ RC r-3e Rx's (multiple vehicles).
The issue is w/ the #1 channel acting erratic. It doesn't always respond, sometimes won't go full turn, sometimes won't full return or at all, etc.
At first, I tried another servo. Then, I tried another Rx and other vehicles (w/ their own Rx).
The Tx has fresh batt's and all vehicles tested had adequate or full batt life.
Tx settings have been reverted to defaults (EXP=0 EPA=100, etc) for the testing.
No loop is using the same batt, esc, motor, servo, etc. The only common would be Tx to same model Rx.
I have not opened the Tx to check for loose wires, damaged circuitry, etc.

TYIA

Just to be clear, the issue persists across multiple models and receivers?

I only have 1 "model" Rx (r-3e), but about 9 or 10 of them. I haven't tried all of them, but every one I've tried exhibits the same issue (independent of whether or not an esc is connected).

So if I'm understanding correctly, you have a single TX and have tested across a few different RX's and the behavior with the steering is consistently bad with all of them? The actual issue being exhibited is the steering is not responding correctly. Does the throttle respond as expected?

I'm thinking that the potentiometer in the steering is likely the culprit here.

Yes, and correct to the rest.

That would seem plausible. Is this a rare occurrence?

Thank you

I took the TX apart. Opened the potentiometer. Cleaned the sensor w/ scotchbrite and IPA. Gently pulled the contacts out a bit. Tested. Closed it up. Seems to be working pretty good now. Might keep my eyes open for any "for parts" gt3b's.

Thanks again

all potentiometers go bad over time... glad to hear you were able to clean yours to restore it, but generally a good idea to keep the radio away from dust/humidity or any elements that can make the potentiometer fail sooner.

GT3B's are considered disposable

I had all sorts of weird problems with a GT3B, from random glitching to loosing bind on receivers....probably why the previous owner sold it off. I've Been running a GT5 for awhile with no issues, running 10 receivers from it currently for cars trucks that see light use. For racing type stuff, I still use Futaba
