Default Spektrum DX6R unable to update firmware

I recently upgraded the Spektrum Raceware app and when it attempts to update the firmware to 2.03.00 I receive the following error, “There was an error updating the firmware. Please quit and restart RaceWare.”

The instructions say to short press the power button and to wait until the Orange LED to turn off. Then press the power button again. When I press the power button again I get the error message above.

anyone run into this issue? I’m hoping someone has a workaround. Thank you!

Default Firmware update

I had the same issue, had to download an apk file with the 2nd newest update, saved it to an SD card and put it in my dx6r. Then uninstalled the spectrum app, reinstalled it and applied the apk file to my transmitter. At that point just use the second newest update. I tried to update to the newest and had to start over. Never got the newest to work.

i want to say thanks to these guys( the rc guy & Silvereagle13 ) for posting this info.
i downloaded from apkpure site each new file. only 1 on sd card , uninstall the raceware app, turn off wifi, go threw esfile explorer and tap on sd card- start the new raceware upgrade, run the app , uninstall it threw play store and reboot and do it all over up to next version unit 2.04
it was very painfull thought i had killed the firmware upgrade a few times but managed to ge6t to the next step
now that i have it totally upgraded time to try it out and see if i keep it
