I have a 4wd 1/10 buggy, 6.5 turn mod motor, 2s battery and Pro Performance XSC150P ESC. Are ESC fans required? I have heard from multiple sources but it comes with a fan after all... The heat sink is very small, not sure what the fan is actually doing with it's size.
Thanks!

I don't run mod. I run 13.5 4wd and don't run a fan. But, I'd check your temps to see. With a 13.5, My esc gets to about 150 on the internal temp.

In most situations the included 30mm fan is not necessary on the XSC150P as it runs cooler than many other esc’s that are on the market today. I don’t typically even consider using one on my own 4wd’s until I am running a 5.5 turn or lower on very high bite. It is always advised to do a test run for the duration of your race and monitor the temps beforehand and you most likely will find that there is no need.
