Surpass Rocket v5

Hey all. Sorry if this was discussed in another post but just wanted to share my thoughts on this motor. We blew up our Muchmore Fleta in our wheeler last week. A bearing seized and it shot up to 280°. Ouch.
I heard good things about this "budget" motor. I ordered one from Rotor Ron. Like 90 bucks. Im tellin ya, this thing rips. I put it on my analyzer, (well, my buddies) cuz I usually just tune with gear and temp. Something like 4200 kv at 32k rpm.. theres quite a bit more timing and/or gear left. Wouldn't go over 120° after 7 minute runs...
I've had the Revtecs, Fantoms, R1 etc. They're all just fine. But this 90 dollar motor is extremely competitive against them all. If not gaining on the straight. Maybe because of the Rotor Ron voodoo, I dunno. Just sayin. Give one a try maybe.. or have one for a backup...thanks for your time. Yall be well.

How is $90 budget? just buy a Fantom icon from them directly. $90-100 depending on which one you go for, and they have the top end $150 option too but the others are 99% as fast.
No you don't need to get a Fantom tuned by rotor ron, they do that in house and thats why they ask racing type and track size.

Well I guess its not a true budget motor. Like what, 80 bucks? I think I paid 90 something for the RR. Ive made several purchases from Ron and have talked to him in person and on the phone a couple times. He's very accommodating. Anyways, at our track its usually Motiv, S+, and Revtecs.. all 100+$. Some guys have never heard of Surpass which surprised me a little. I guess I meant a lesser known company? Maybe its not but in my area it is.
