Default Having a hard time, tx/rx question.

Maybe Im just missing something but I could use a little help. All I want is a NEW surface radio system that has at least three channels and also has the ability to connect an external thermistor (telemetry). I want to then attach that temperature sensing device to the outside of an electric motor to measure its surface temperature, and send that information back to the radio. This may be old technology but it works for me. I have an old Spektrum DX4Rpro that is bound to an old sr3300t Rx that does just that. Problem is this stuff is all obsolete and the new stuff seems to do too much and not just what I want. Is there a radio/rx out there that is good/great quality and able to do what I'm asking, without buying a ton of proprietary extra components, using my phone, a computer, an app, and bluetooth?

I use the Futaba 4PLS and the R304SB E with the temp sensor. It’s a discontinued model but you can still find them out there used. I have been using it for years and my son has one too. The 4PM is the current model, but much pricier. The 3PV can also do telemetry, but we didn’t like the feel of it. Used it for two weekends and got rid of it. The trigger was wierd (too big of a gap for finger and non-adjustable) and it just felt strange to hold.

there is one currently on FB marketplace for $80 without a receiver.

The FlySky Noble NB4 does all of this as well, is under $250, and touch screen.
