Hobbywing QuicRun QR10BL120 120A vs. XR10 Pro
I am in the market for a new ESC and notice the HW QuicRun 10BL120 is about 1/4 the price of there XR10 Pro. Both seem to rated to handle modified motor. I see the QuicRun also has the usual programmable features, except for Blinky modes. Are there any major difference that sets them apart, like better braking, smoother throttle...etc? I don't race, so blinky mode doesn't matter to me. are the difference worth 4x the price? (I guess that is subjective)

The biggest thing you might care about is the BEC output on the new XR10 pro's are adjustable up to 7.4V for running HV servos. The QR's only put out 6V.

That quicrun is basically the V2.1 hardware which is pretty ancient. Its a little bigger and has less adjustments that benefit racing. But if you're not racing, save the cash and get the Quicrun.

I bought the Quicrun since it a killer price....but I am still interest in the XR10.
How is the braking performance between the Quicrun and XR10. I find myself setting a very high rate of drag brake just to get the car to slow down with the Quicrun.

I only have a quicrun, so I cant tell you any comparisons... but I've never had an issue with the brakes. Do you have your throttle turned down? I've noticed when I run less than 100% on the esc and then turn my remote down too, I can lose all my braking power.

I got the throttle set to 100%. I am running in a touring car and drag brake set to 80%. I just figure its a bit high...in any case it is preforming like I want it to.
The BEC output on the XR10 is a nice to give the servo that extra boost...but I am not sure if I would notice it.
