Default Issues with RX8 gen 3

Anyone else have issues with a the Tekin RX8 gen3 shorting out? I’ve gone through 3 of them at this point. I love the esc , but keep having the same issue. I know it’s not heat and I solder pretty well. I’m curious if I’m doing something wrong or I should be looking out for an issue I don’t know about.

A friend went thru 2 esc's and a motor to finally discover that the motor mount screws he was using were too long and shorting out the motor internally.... ooops.
