Default Data Logging with M17

According to the manual for the m17, it should be possible to record steering and throttle inputs, and save them as .csv files onto an sd card. However, I haven't figured out how to record and save the data. When I go into the data logging menu, it says there are no data files. Anyone know how to do this?

You have to assign the data longer start to a button. Click the button do some driving hit it again. You then should see the run in the data logger section. From there you can export it to a sd card.

Quick tip use ploty.com to view the csv. Easy way to make pretty graphs with the data

I looked through the options to assign the data logger to a switch, but I didn't see such an option under key assign. Do you know what it's called?

no sorry. I sold my radio about 2 years ago. It might just be LapTimer come to think of it...maybe give that one a try.

I would assume the manual goes over how to use it

FINALLY figured it out! The manual is horrible, and wasn't clear at all. Essentially, I wanted to be able to log/record the steering and throttle inputs. In order to do this, you must properly configure the lap timer. It's through the lap timer menu that you can configure it to log the data. Under Timer Setup, you have to choose Log(1ms) or Log(10ms) under the Lap Function option. I had it set to VOICE, so that it would read out the lap times, but with this setting, it won't log/record the inputs. Once you setup the Lap Function, and then start the lap timer, the data will be recorded.
