AE B6. It works fine, I was just curious if a lot of subtrim is an issue. The servo is not maxed out on steering epa or whining.

did you place a 1mm washer between the ball ends? That's what you need to adjust to get the car to center, no way you need to add very much subtrim, usually just a few points at most otherwise you've got the servo arm or stering link (91724) adjusted wrong.

Very important to set trim to 0 on radio first with servo arm removed (everything turned on).. then install servo am at 90°, then install the links and adjust part 91724 before setting any subtrim:

you are right in that sense if the issue ramains for some reason after installing the servo to the car.

The way I understand it, the issue the OP is reffering to lies one step prior...simply when mating the servo horn to the savox servo, just after powering up the servo so it can first self center and then mating the splines, so that woul be even before connecting the horn with the steering link.

Anyhow everything will be covered for future references. 😉

High subtrim values bug me a little too, but hey this is exactly what sub is for, if you have the travel you need no problem.

I could be wrong but my understanding is that subtrim adjusts the center but not the endpoints. Endpoints adjust endpoints. Normal trim adjusts both. And then dualrate limits endpoints.

With my radios normal trim doesn't move endpoints. Center can be adjusted freely without worrying about endpoints. Subtrim moves everything, keeps the same amount of swing to each side, etc. Set subtrim first (with normal trim at 0!), then endpoints, normal trim as needed ongoing.
