Futaba Servos
Hi guys, I'm shifting from Sanwa to Futaba and would like to know your opinion as far as the selection of Futaba servos for the following categories:
1/8 nitro off-road (throttle & steering) 1/8 nitro on-road (throttle & steering) 1/10 4WD & 2WD off-road (steering) Thank you! |

For 1/10 offroad the S9372sv is a beast but probably overkill even in a 4wd, but that's what I have in mine. The S9370sv is what I have in my 2wd buggy. You really only need about .12 speed and at the most 200 in/lb torque in 1/10.

If you are running Sanwa non SSR servo's you can use them on the Futaba. And regarding Futaba, only wanting to use the true SR mode you need Futaba SR servo's. You can use normal digitak servo's in SR mode if you set the channet to a normal servo.

With no expense spared the best servo on the market would be the futaba ct700.

For 1/10 Touring Car, I like the Futaba BLS571HV or BLS551 servos.

thank you guys! another question regarding servos: does the servo have to be of the same brand as the transmitter, technology-wise...do you gain anything in terms of communication, speed, etc if you use futaba servos with futaba transmitter or it doesnt matter at all?
|
Only if your using Futaba SR servos with certain Futaba transmitters or Sanwa ssr with Sanwa transmitters. You gain speed. For us mere mortals it doesn’t mean much as the fast servos need slowed down for us anyways. You can mix/match brands and still have a very fast servo, just not lightning fast.
