Default Ruddog 482 Receiver Binding Issues

Anyone have issues binding these to transmitter? My stock sanwa 482 binds easily to my MTS but can’t even get Ruddog to show the blue light. Fan works in the Ruddog receiver when I plug it in so I know it’s getting power, just no binding light. I bought 2 of them and same issue with both, so I’m thinking I’m missing something.

Fist thing I would look at is the esc wire in the correct spot? If so could it be in backwards?

Yeah I checked that too. Tried to power it with esc and also tried my transmitter battery (not at the same time obviously) It’s getting power because fan works when I plug it in. Just can’t get the darn thing to light up and bind. Sent ruddog an email but nothing back yet.

Remove Steering servo and esc from the RX. Insert RX battery into slot #5 OR bATT.. rED WIRE MIDDLE and blk toward the outside. Follow MTS manual on binding. If blue LED is on, it should be bonded. Turn off TX and RX. reintall servo and esc. Steering should operate. insures you binding. Then follow the ESC Calibration instruction. Turn off RX and TX. turn on should oparate normally. If not reverse motor direction and recalibrate. Good Luck!!

the fan might run backwards if the wire from the esc to the receiver is plugged in backwards.
