You are correct in the second part and the ones that know about these esc’s and have been running them say the same things that I do. They are a newer company and I give it time but I see many people on racing groups on Facebook saying the exact same thing that I am. It looks like they are starting to sell quite a lot of the XSC150P and for very good reason. Hands down the fastest esc on the market right now

0.4s is often the difference between TQ and not even making the A main at a world's event. Hobbywing wouldn't be on the podium if this ESC is that much faster.

You would not see this on the Podium. It is not Roar Approved.

I believe that is their website but it is actually not live yet, I message their Facebook page and get my orders processed that way. It gets programmed with a traditional hand held device, quick and easy and some new parameter adjustments that other esc’s don’t have. I am no way twisting people’s arm to purchase these products and have nothing to gain by sharing the results that I have found. We are all entitled to our opinions and mine is that this equipment is the best I have tried since my return to racing. It takes a lot to impress me these days and I rarely gives props to anything online but this equipment deserves it. It is smoother and faster than anything else on the market imo

The pro performance rc is definitely awesome equipment I received my 2 pre ordered XSC150P special edition esc’s about a month ago. I’ve been running the esc’s and servos in my stock and mod cars and have to say that they have a much smoother more in tune feel is the best way to describe. Highly recommended They have a private track and every prototype is developed to be faster on the clock than the top products from other companies

Anyone asking for assistance on picking out an ESC isn't going to be able to realize the difference, any time soon, between a run-of-the-mill ESC and something the pros use. One who would be able to notice and/or benefit from such a difference, doesn't need help picking a product and isn't going to post here asking for assistance. The OP just needs something that is relatively easy to use/program and get him/her to the track to start gaining some track time.

Maclan

I'd like to mention the maclan esc's. The fact you can tune it easely with an app on your phone is quite nice.

the sanwa esc is pretty good. No program card necessary. I can adjust the parameters from the sanwa radio and even tye them to trim buttons if i want. brake rate and punch are pretty nice to have on a trim switch as traction goes comes up. I also get logging on the radio of speed, and temperature of the esc and motor. Nothing is without its drawbacks though so if Im going to say allot of nice things I should also point out the bad. I have not used the HW esc but I have studied the way it stages acceleration for mod motors. The sanwa esc is different (more conventional)than the HW and I dont feel it would be easy to dial the acceleration in as well, But I have been running these ESCs for almost 3 years with no failures. not even fans or switches. it handles blinky class stuff very well but I think anything below a 13.5 will take allot of work. im not a dirt guy but if you dont need to really smooth out acceleration everything else is a+.

the manual for setting it up is very detailed and descriptive. the only problem is that the translation isnt good enough to describe everything in a logical fashion if you have not set one up before. most of it is good but you get hung up on a couple steps. after you mess around with it and get one of them working you can go back and read the manual and realize what they were trying to describe but its not good enough to get you through the whole process the first time without any confusion.

I have spoken to people at castle and HW. they have people that know what they are doing. they are RC people but they are also very knowledgeable motor control people. I wont name some of the others I have talked to and I dont want to pass judgement because I may not have talked to the right people but the level of knowledge could be better. The saving grace for these support people at the other MFGs is that they did not BS me about their level of understanding. That always gives extra points.

That will be their website but it is not live yet I order right through the company page. The esc that is on the site has been sold out for a long time and now there is a special edition available. I have 2 special edition esc’s from them so far and they are awesome. If you go to the roar website you can see that they are on the approved list

I still have Hobbywing G2's but Pro-Perfomance RC ESC's are starting to pop up everywhere in my area. I spoke to them on Facebook, I'll give them a try for my next race build. Instead of bashing them I rather try for myself.... :)
AJ Morasco's take on Pro-Perfomance esc's is on Youtube, AJ is a goto guy for a lot of testing.

The XSC150P drives better than my HW G2’s did and have switched all of my cars over to them now and I am not looking back. Noticeably more power and smoother/faster feel and also very user friendly to tune quickly. Can get Dakotah and AJ’s latest setup sheets from their Facebook page. It looks like Trinity team manager Kevin Abbott and all of their top drivers are switching to Pro Performance for the same reasons.
