How to enable reverse?

Hi,
First let me say I do not race on a track. (I would if there was a track around here)
I run my buggy at home so reverse does not violate any rules. I have had RC cars in the 80's up to around 2005. This is my first try with modern electronics. I also fly RC planes which are modern and have no problems setting up planes.
Having said that, I am getting an older Losi 2wd buggy going with modern electronics.
I have a Justock XR10 esc with matching 10.5 motor combo and a Spektrum DX5 Pro transmitter. I followed the directions to program forward/brake/reverse. The lights and beeps work just as they should and the programming seems to take but when I go to drive the buggy still no reverse. The buggy is very fast and the steering works as it should, just no reverse. Any other settings I am missing? I tried youtube but can't find a video of the components I actually have. The videos I find are for other esc's from Hobbywing.
Thanks,

It's a lot easier if you get the programming box:

There is a cheaper option. You can get the Hobbywing Program Card for $12 off the Bay. However, the above box is more versatile as you can use it to hook the ESC to your computer to load on new firmware.

No reverse is the default option on this ESC. Probably because it's mostly aimed at stock racing.
The programming boxes are cheap and super helpful on setting all the various settings. But if you don't want to invest in one, here's the procedure to turn on reverse:
Transmitter on, ESC off
Press and hold the set button on the ESC
Turn on ESC, continue to hold button
LED will turn red then flash green 1 time. Release button
The red LED should blink once
Press and release the button, the red LED should blink twice
turn off ESC
Reverse is now enabled
