Trackstar dead ?

Anybody hear anything about trackstar dying ? they seem to have discontinued their great little 60amp esc, their v2 motors and their sensored brushless motor for the smaller scall stuff.

Hobbyking had sent an email recently but they are not specifying what is changing in the long run. For the money my buddy has the 60 amp TS50 clone and its great. I had a V2 17.5 up until recently and it was more then adequate for alot of people. Maybe they will be modernizing this stuff soon as that esc has been done my skyrc for probably 6 years now and even the V2 is as competitive compared to other budget offerings.
"We've been so busy re-configuring our warehouses and website that we forgot to wish you a Merry Christmas! But that's not so bad because now you can read this email on your phone on Christmas day instead of listening to your not-so-interesting relatives talk about their less interesting hobby's.
You've probably noticed some products out of stock recently, and that's because we're improving our supply chain and product lines by moving warehouses and trimming categories to only quality proven products with less confusion; but more interestingly we have 28 models in development and production right now!
So stick around, because 2020 is going to be awesome!"

SkyRC and Hobbyking/Trackstar are two different things. SkyRC might be updating there ESC line but typically the hobbyking re-brands are after they product has been available for a few years. The cars (off and on) usually are generation or two old TEAM C - maybe now Sakura?, forgot who the mini car was from. Hopefully they focus on more quality vs rock bottom dollar. I will say the trackstar line thus far has been a great compromise but would love more after-sales support as spare parts and technical support.

HobbyKing has rebranded from just about everyone, from XRay to HSP, Nanda, Sakura, TeamC.. they've been all over the place, their X-Car ESC was definitely not made by SkyRC, some have claimed the X-Car was made by HobbyWing but with low quality parts which is why they haven't been as reliable as the HobbyWing branded products which they have also sold.
Looking forward to seeing what they will be introducing with these "28 new models", how many will be surface based and will they be kits or RTR?
Hopefully they continue to maintain a balance between quality and price!
