Hobbywing esc

Hi,

I am using hobbywing stock esc, when I release the throttle, the wheels stop spinning immediately, instead of keep rolling for a bit. How do I fix this problem?

thanks for your inputs!

Is your ESC correctly calibrated? Try to calibrate it again... Or do you have set some drag-brake high value, that will have this effect?

also remove the pinion and check for any binding in the drive train, car should roll effortlessly across the room with a gentle push without the pinion installed.

You didn't mention what type of vehicle you have. Are you testing with the wheels off the ground? A touring car or other with small wheels won't have enough inertia when you release the throttle to keep rotating.

If you have re-calibrated your throttle and there is no binding in the drivetrain then sound like you have enabled drag brake in the ESC. Check your manual on how to set that.
