Sanwa speed sensitive steering
has anyone worked out how to change the end points of the servo via telemetry? I know there are other methods to slow down the servo based on throttle. I do this now. what im looking for is to contract the end points when speed is very high to smooth out high speed turning. C-mix will allow you to create a ratio between st, th, aux1 and aux2. this is great for a car that jumps to the right or left on throttle on accel or deceleration. I think I understand how it works and im using it. Curve will allow arc, exp, ... t-mix allows telemetry data to compensate something like a cold motor that needs a high idle until the temperature comes down. |
Can't answer your original question, but could you point me to a reference/manual page on how you slow down the servo with speed?

Perhaps for what you're wanting to do, a mix linking the throttle to the steering dual rate is what you're after, but looking at the manual I'm not sure that is an option (I've assumed Sanwa based on your previous posts and menu item names).
I think if you linked the steering to the throttle or RPM telemetry like this, the car would gain steering as you slow down and create a bit of hooking effect as slow down to turn. Maybe a better way to do this would be to make a custom curve for the steering? Set the movement around the centre to be less sensitive but to still allow full travel if you turn to full lock. |

yea its sanwa. You also understand. Those are the things I tried. The curve may work but it’s really just a velocity curve for a single channel. It disregards the speed of the motor. Telemetry does have speed data but in the t-comp and c-comp (which allows a master and slave channel) it doesnt let you have the end points or a point on the curve for the servo. I can tie the position of the servo to the trigger. But that is used to compensate for torque steer. It works great. Its just the response or end point that cannot be tied together. |
