I do wish you lived closer to me, I'd lend you my Pro so you could race with it and see how that'd compare. One thing that Flysky claimed was that one could transfer their NB4 data onto the Pro but that didn't work for me, perhaps it wasn't ready when I tried? I plan on trying my Pro in '1 way mode' to see if there is any noticeable difference. I always use 2 way mode to monitor the lipos in my nitros.
You know, that might be where I use this radio... nitro buggy!

The transmitter is still behaving strange though with servos.
What steps did he take to get it back up and running? I'm having the same issue.

Default New owner Assistant error

Hi all,
New here and have been reading this very long thread, also searching for error and datum etc. I have a new NB4 with 2.0.85 firmware, hardware 1.2 I am trying to save my models before I upgrade the firmware, but using Assistant 1 and 3 (2 is just in Chinese and seems unresponsive) I get the error below. I am hoping to get the models saved before updating firmware... any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: I read possibly I need Assistant V1.1 Does anyone know how I can get this file? I can't find it anywhere.

TIPS:
"The return datum from TX have not received, waiting for timeout!"

John

The V1 assistant app should work with .85. Just to confirm: You need to make sure your PC detects the transmitter. You need to plug in the transmitter first, then open the app in order to get it to connect but if that doesn't work, try the other way around. Yes, it seems flysky has pulled the V1.1 from their server and the only way to get it now is for someone to send you the file they have or upload it somewhere where anyone can have access to it.

Thanks,
the Assistant software sees and names my controller as NB4 in both V1 and V3. I've tried hooking it up power on and off, both before I ran the software and after and it does not seem to matter... same error. I have read I must have V1.1 Assistant... but can't find it anywhere. Maybe someone can email it to me or upload it somewhere, seems odd they have left me as a new owner without any recourse.
Thanks for you help again,

John

Hello
Does anyone know about NB4 strange beeping sound on startup? Device emits weird repetitive sound & doesn't boot up at all. Top led doesn't have light.
If it's used without bottom battery base - no more sound and doesn't work either.

PowerBank seems to be okay, it charges my phone. As a guess, maybe I have to replace 18650 battery?
Unfortunately, I cannot share YouTube video link so check attachment (zip file with short video).

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I've never heard that noise. I heard there is a hidden button, I think on the left side of the grip, Higher up under the display and it's small and not sure what it does but someone used it to "reset" theirs. I can't find the link, but here is another bit of info... a link to YT vid with "reset" info. Good luck, let us know if you find out how to fix this please. Oh...I can't post links so add this to Youtube.. /watch?v=RR-fdMGLpoI

or search

Flysky NB4 hidden service menu and TX power settings

I did, I went on the transmitter and tightened the screw but the tension on the trigger is still weak. Any other ideas/solutions?

Both on my NB4 and NB4 Pro, I changed the trigger spring with one of the extra steering springs that were provided. I "feel" as though it made a difference in providing more tension on both radios, however, the adjustment screw had to still be tightened all the way down on both.

You may want to try one of the steering springs but at the end of the day, I'd still like more tension. As of right now, there are no aftermarket options for steering springs unfortunately unless you come up with your own custom solution. I did not attempt mounting two springs at the same time (if it's even possible) but if one could, chances are the plastic spring hook mount might not take the extra load. Flysky needs to fix these little issues to as the Pro is simply an amazing radio.

Wow, I missed this. You know, I saw your latest video where you unboxed your new Losi 8 nitro. All I can say is, enjoy the journey! There is nothing like a nitro, both good and bad.

Anyway, I'd recommend you run at least in "2 channel" 2 way mode on the Losi. For me on my Pro, it's VERY noticeable the speed difference coming from 4 channel mode.

Also, in your NB4 review, you mentioned that you had issues when attempting "1 way" (fastest) mode. When I initially tried 1 way mode, I thought it wasn't working; The reason I thought this was because I was expecting a "bind complete" confirmation and never got it. I think many fail to realize that in 1 way mode, there is ZERO data/telemetry feedback so the radio will just show the binding bars even when bound. As soon as the RX blinks solid, just unplug the bind plug and you're good to go. Not saying this was your particular issue, just throwing it out there. 2 channel-2 way mode is fast but 1 way mode felt a bit moar faster to me personally.
