That's the same firmware mine shipped with. I wonder if we could get a changelog!
Very interesting that your radio came with a firmware that is newer than the one they make public on their site. Also, the change log on the site only lists 2 versions, assuming (cause its all in Chinese) that it the original it shipped with this past september, and 1.0.35. Not noticing any added features or any visible changes, I would just assume that they have so far just been bug fixes.

I bet Karl would tell us if we sent him an email. It isn't that important. Works great for me.

Can you tell a different in smoothness or latency? It feels very connected to me.

i borrowed a futaba 7px while i waited for the noble to arrive and when i first used the noble i instantly felt that sanwa "connected feeling" you get when you first use a sanwa
i cannot compare m12s and noble directly but it hasnt changed my driving, except my wrist isnt dead after a race now.

Personally, I think latency issues are often imagined. Someone thinking they are feeling a difference of milliseconds from one radio to another is often based on impressions of what they think is the better radio. Saw this video where they compare a flysky to a Taranis, (both are flying style radios) most assume that the flysky has more latency issues, because its like 1/4th the price of the Taranis, the results they get in the testing are interesting.

But, I also accept the idea that maybe Im just not a good enough operator to notice these milliseconds that others are capable of noticing. lol

Always keep options open.

it does seem far fetched but there is a reason the m12/s is so popular, it really does give a more "connected" feeling. i believe its more to do with the Tech that is frequency hopping.

Like seriously give it a go, borrow a mt-44 or m12 and install in your own car. it will convert you. the only real problem is the weight of the m12s

Cool firmware version,response time

Hi thanks for the great forum here. I just bought the NB4 and two FGr4S receiver from Hobbyking(great service).
The installed firmware is 1.03.6-CN not 35 or 36 its 3POINT6
from the 18th of january 2019. Hardware is 1.2

What is your knowledge and experiences on "response time ??
the flysky flyer on their homepage tells about 3ms, whats is very fast.
Hoever in my "quick start guide", whats come with the gun, its say less then 13 ms, that a big difference.
That was one of my major reason to buy.
Whats your status on that, how can we measure that easy - any ideas ?

Thanks for any help

Robert

See here, this is what Im talking about (not being a jerk Robert, I promise). If you can tell a difference of 10 milliseconds, you are a much better RC driver than I am. lmao

But to try and answer the question, personally, I do not know the exact response time.

I do know that the flysky site says this:
"Equipped with our newest RF technology, AFHDS 3, the NB4 is now the most flexible option for cars and boats. For extra low latency enable sports mode to have latency times as low as 3ms."

So, 3ms response with "sport mode" activated. Which you may have already found is not a feature. We were told that during development that "sport mode" was basically found to be a moot point, and regular mode was fast enough.

I know that doesnt answer the question, but thats what I know. lol

Send FlySky a message through their website and ask them. For me it is extremely smooth and connected but maybe they'll tell you.
