Reedy 510r issues
#1
So my 6 month old esc runs for about 100 yards then just shuts off. It will turn right back on when i hit the power button. Run it again & it shuts off. One person at the track said it might be the capacitors. Anyone ever have this issue.

Start with the easy stuff first. Double check all the solder connections. How does it connect to the battery? Bullets or some sort of male / female connection? Check that connection thoroughly. Swap out the sensor wire and see if that helps. Any pinched or scraped wires to the capacitors, fan if installed or ESC wire? Does the ESC wire fit nice and snug in the receiver? Is it plugged in correctly? Charge or replace transmitter batteries. Swap out the receiver for a know working one.
Then if the problem still shows it self you can now confirm that it's the ESC. Try splicing in a new set of Caps. Still no go? Split the case since you have nothing to lose. Check for any loose or broken solder pins where the ESC cable and power button connect. Jumper out the power button if you can. Reedy's replacement service is expensive and you can get a new one for the same price as getting that one serviced if all that still didn't cure the issue.

I have seen this before...... if the connections are good its a internal issue. I would contact Reedy direct and see about repairs. DO NOT open the case up until you talk to them and see what they will do. People at the track have had very good luck with Reedy taking care of issues.
