4PLS vs. 4PV

Are they the same speed? I do not care about features. I cannot justify paying $100+ for ergos or features I will not use.

Bashing, 12th pan, and Touring. Still a noob with racing.

They are both capable of similar if not the same speed with the telemetry receivers, but the main issue I had shelling out for the 4PLS at this time is that the antenna is no longer available as a spare part, and the radio is now about 5 years old, which means more than likely that is due to be replaced very soon. From all accounts its a fine radio, but I wouldn't feel comfortable buying one with those two caveats. Just my 2 cents.

The Sanwa MTS is super fast, and receivers capable of the fastest speeds(RX-380) are only about $10 more than the Futaba receivers if you look around. You can also get the radio bundled with two of the $100ea. RX-482 receivers from RCmart if you're willing to forgo US warranty service.

I had a 4PLS before until the antenna broke. ...

I have a 4PV for sale:

I settled on the 4PV. I liked the MT44 as well.

Ergonomics is why I chose the 4PV over the MT44. Finally a mid-level radio that allows you to use a wheel drop-down and angle adapter!
